KEMAPCO produces potassium nitrate fertilisers in Aqaba, Jordan. The company was established in 1999 and has been wholly owned by Arab Potash Company since 2007.
Company background
Arab Fertilizers & Chemicals Industries Ltd., known as KEMAPCO, began potassium nitrate production in 2003. Its manufacturing facilities are in Aqaba, near Jordan’s port, and its process uses locally sourced Jordanian potash.
Manufacturing focus
The company specialises in water-soluble potassium nitrate, also known as NOP, using an ion-exchange production process. This fertiliser supplies nitrogen and potassium, two of the major nutrients used in crop nutrition.
Product range and documentation
The published range includes NOP standard and acidic grades and an NK 13-0-44 + 1 Mg formulation. KEMAPCO provides technical and safety data sheets for these grades, enabling their composition and specifications to be checked individually.
