Microbial technologies within Corteva Biologicals
Symborg is a Murcia-based agricultural biotechnology business acquired by Corteva in 2023. Its expertise includes microbial biostimulants and biofertilisers.

Company and ownership
Symborg developed biostimulants and biofertilisers for agricultural crops, with expertise in microbiological technologies. Corteva announced completion of its acquisition on 2 March 2023, bringing this expertise into its biologicals business.
Bacterial technologies
Its collaboration with Corteva included BlueN and Utrisha N. Current Corteva documentation identifies BlueN’s microorganism as Methylobacterium symbioticum, a bacterium used in a nutrient-efficiency biostimulant.
Fungal technologies and current information
Mycorrhizal technology is another area of the portfolio: Corteva’s Resid MG documentation identifies the fungus Glomus iranicum var. tenuihypharum. Current product information is published through Corteva Biologicals, and the former Symborg website now redirects to Corteva.
